Can i study earth science to be a geologist?

Most good geology schools in the world will allow you to get into either a masters or PHD program with good grades good math skills and good science skills. A background in earth science is a great way to transition into geology. Ask about working in labs and getting hands on research and you will make yourself a great candidate for a masters in geology which I'm beginning next year :)
