Which London 'underground' routes are above ground ? Claustrophobic traveller !?

Which parts of the district and met. lines are above ground? I want to go to the Natural History Museum , (S.Ken.) and the British Museum There isn't a clear answer on the internet; the London Transport website doesn't give an email option -
