I am a student of applied geology?

i am doing graduation course,and thinking to go for post graduation next year.my dad is also a geologist and he did his m.tech from Dr.H.S.Gour university, Sagar(M.P.), INDIA...i too wants to go there but in case i dont get admission,which other institutes i can apply....pls help...?
